Studio MV

Studio MV is about 2.0 km from Koh Tao’s centre; Ao Leuk is 400 m away, and Cindy’s Tower viewpoint is 750 m from the apartment. The eastern bays are known for clear water and coral close to shore. Everyday services are more limited along this coast than in Mae Haad or Sairee.

Visitors reach Koh Tao by boat, arriving at Mae Haad pier on the west coast; there is no airport on the island. Lomprayah Koh Tao Pier is 2.1 km from Studio MV. From the pier, a pick-up truck taxi can take you across the island. Scooters are another way to travel, though the concrete roads descending to Ao Leuk and Tanote are very steep. Free private parking is available at Studio MV, but a reservation is required.

Ao Sai Daeng is 1.1 km away, Love Koh Tao viewpoint is 1.2 km away and Ao Tanote Beach is 1.3 km away. The coves are suited to snorkelling, with coral close to shore, while diving is Koh Tao’s main activity. The east coast is generally calmer from April to October; from November to March, the west and south coasts tend to have calmer conditions. Whale sharks are seen most often in March–May and September–October.
